About the Course

In this course, students will be exposed to the basics of professional writing in the professional environment. The focus of the content is highlighting effective and efficient communication skills across a variety of media. Special consideration is given to establishing standardized writing styles, and ensuring students learn to steer clear potential liability in challenging situations.

About the Author

Dr. Thomas Tufaro has been teaching writing to audiences from elementary school children to doctoral candidates and working professionals – for over 25 years. Prior to starting his career in public education, Dr. Tufaro worked as a corporate financial writer and editor for a Fortune 500 company.

As a public educator since 1999, Dr. Tufaro has served as a secondary English teacher, school- and district-level administrator and is currently a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant on a high school child study team. Dr. Tufaro has also taught English, writing, communications and special education as an adjunct professor at local colleges.

Dr. Tufaro holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a master’s and doctoral degrees in educational leadership and has taken advanced coursework in special education, psychology, and statistics. He is a New Jersey certified Teacher of English, Supervisor, School Administrator, School Business Administrator and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.
