Inclusive Education

Description

The inclusive education presentation provides participants with an understanding of inclusive educational practices. The presentation includes promoting inclusive learning environments that incorporate evidence based teaching practices, differentiated instruction and universal design for learning. Moreover, the presentation illustrates the importance of inclusive education for students with disabilities and emphasizes practices that foster empathy and understanding for all students in the educational community. Additionally, the inclusive education presentation provides participants with an understanding of educators’ responsibility to ensure students with disabilities are served in the least restrictive environment, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which includes equal access, American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Finally, the inclusive education presentation expands participants’ personal and professional growth as it relates to inclusive education practices, along with its benefits to students with disabilities they serve.
