Description
This session is designed for district and school-level leaders who are embarking on a journey of literacy achievement acceleration. In response to decades of steady reading decline, legislation across the nation is being enacted, shifting literacy practices to reflect the vast research that supports the Science of Reading/ Structured Literacy approach. We school administrators play a vital role in this major shift in teacher preparation, instructional practice, and effective implementation.
This course will prepare school leaders with the knowledge and tools to ignite literacy acceleration by exploring six critical steps for building teacher capacity and for creating a culture of continuous reading improvement using Structured Literacy as a foundation for success.
